Barangay and civic leaders in the Second District of Pangasinan clamor for the hardworking Board Member Nestor “NikkiBoy” Reyes to be their next representative in the House of Congress.

“Kailangan natin sya (We need him),” says a respected resident from the district community, who expressed admiration on the dedication of Reyes as the only member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) to post a perfect attendance in all the sessions from 2001 to the present.

During his nine year term as a Board Member, “NikkiBoy” Reyes has prioritized the needs of the farm sector, public schools, daycare centers, Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan councils, senior citizens, civic and other development associations.

In his term and as a chairman of the Tourism Committee, Reyes urged for the conversion of the Capitol Complex and the Maramba Boulevard into a Botanical Garden to improve the scenery and to attract more visitors and tourists.

Reyes also pushed for the strict observance of the granting of medicine discounts to senior citizens and fare discounts to students.

“Public service is a part of my life,” says Board Member Reyes, “and with the local leaders encouraging me to be their representative, I have to respond to this call for service for the sake of ou Kabaleyans.”

Reyes started his public service career as anchorman of Operation Tulong, a very popular program that has assisted hundreds of poor families, secure medical treatment or medicine and coordinated delivery of government services to individuals and barangays in Pangasinan.

He was a three-time awardee as the Most Outstanding Councilor of Lingayen and also served as its Municipal Administrator.

“NikkiBoy” Reyes is now on hi sixth year as Board Member of the Second District of Pangasinan and has already received pledges of support from barangay and civic leaders should he run for Congress.

His priorities will be education, livelihood, health, preservation of the Pangasinan language and culture, and environment protection.
