P’sinan PNP reaps the most Regional Awards during 112th Police Service Anniversary

SAN FERNANDO CITY-leading the most number of Recognition for the Unit with Most Number of Apprehended Gun Ban  Violation during the May 2013 Election for Region I- Dagupan City Chief of Police,  Superintendent Christopher Abrahano formally receives  the recognition and award under the Special Unit Category for Dagupan City PNP.

Abrahano,  in an interview told media that cooperation and proper strategy were set ahead before goons and other criminal elements can plan ahead of them was one of the key that lead to Peace and Orderly elections in the City.

The said recognition was welcomed  by big business entities from the city who requested for anonymity.

The businessman said that the business climate during this hot period was one  among if not alone the most peaceful in the history of the city although Dagupan has been known to be among Peaceful city’s in the North.

The source also commended the citations of the Regional PNP for inspiring hard working men in uniform manning the Peace and Order situation of every locality.

The PPOs of Ilocos Norte and La Union receives a recognition for “Achievement Unit Award in the Campaign against Terrorism”, “Achievement Unit Award in Rescue and Relief Operation”, accordingly.

The Five awards among the Eight Special categories bagged by Pangasinan PNP alone  was under the leadership of Acting Provincial Director Marlou Chan.

It will be recalled that Chan was designated as officer-in-charge of the Pangasinan police office last December 2012 and his permanent appointment by the PNP command last may 10 of this year garnered him complaints and accusations of political partisan in the court.

The case against Chan was filed by Governor Amado Espino Jr. who is questioning the legality of Chan’s appointment as provincial police head.

Chief Supt. Ricardo Marquez announced during the resumption of hearing of the petition for the issuance of Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) and writ of Preliminary Injunction against Chan before the sala of Regional Trial Court Judge Caridad Galvez of Branch 59 in Lingayen on Tuesday, that names of  senior police officers have finally been nominated for the provincial police director post to replace controversial Senior Supt. Marlou Chan.

however, Espino said he has yet to receive such list.

Chan who belongs to Philippine Military Academy (PMA) class 1985 received several citations as Provincial Director In Ilocos Norte before his controversial stint in Pangasinan.
